your old paint cans
When
you empty a paint can, don't throw it away! Latex paint
cans can easily be cleaned out with some water, and stored
for future use as "work pots". When you start your
painting project, you don't want to work out of a full
gallon. When you purchase a quart of paint, you don't want
to work out of the quart! Just pour half the new gallon
out into your work pot, cover the remaining paint and you
are ready to go. Empty the quart into a work pot and you
will find it much easier to work with than a quart. |
