Selecting
a Roller
Just
as with paint brushes, selecting the proper roller cover
for the surface and paint is very important to the end
result of your painting job. There are two factors to
consider when selecting a roller. Catalyzed two-component
epoxy type coatings have strong solvents that may
deteriorate normal cover cores. Special solvent-resistant
cores are available for use with these coatings.
The application of paint to extremely rough surfaces
occasionally requires a super-long nap, 1 1/4 ".
Applying texture paint to a smooth surface requires a
special cover, often referred to as a stipple roller
cover, to pull or peak the paint on the surface. |
