Don't waste that roller sleeve!

Ever start a painting project and run into a problem that requires you to be taken away? If you leave your paint roller for more than an hour or two it will start to dry and be ruined! Here is a good tip to save your paint roller. When you open the paint roller, save the plastic bag that it comes in. You can use that bag to cover the roller while you are away. It can be a little messy until you get the hang of it, but it sure can save you money on roller sleeves! Need to quit for the night and pick up in the morning? This is the perfect way to do it. Roller sleeves can also be saved this way when using multiple colors. After placing the bag on the roller, use a bucket or similar object to knock the bagged sleeve off and tuck the open end into the center of the sleeve, set aside on its end on some newspaper, and it will stay soft and pliable for at least a day or two.
